In the United Kingdom, it is not possible to buy particularly effective sprays against moths over the counter. The effective sprays that are available are reserved for professional pest controllers, who are trained in their use.
In addition, there are various “all-round” insecticides designed to kill many different types of insects. However, we do not recommend using these insecticides against moths because they:
- are ineffective against moths
- are harmful to health
- are damaging to the environment
